Dr. Amy Richter
Dr. Richter has earned the distinction of being named a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics by completing both written and oral examinations and presenting pre- and post-treatment records of her patients in order to demonstrate a high level of clinical proficiency. She earned both a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science degree from the University of Michigan in 2008, where she obtained an outstanding clinical education in treating orthodontic patients with the latest technologies available.
Dr. Richter graduated with High Honors from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, OH. She earned the Delta Sigma Delta Academic Achievement Award and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Scholarship Award prior to dental school and she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Gannon University in her hometown of Erie, PA.
Dr. Richter’s research, “Incidence of Caries Lesions Among Patients Treated with Comprehensive Orthodontics,” has been published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Her research has been cited numerous times by other authors and presented at dental meetings on an international level.

In her spare time, Dr. Richter enjoys reading, cooking and camping. A native of Erie, Pennsylvania, Dr. Richter grew up on a farm, and continues to have a strong love of animals to this day. She fosters homeless animals for a local pet rescue organization, and herself owns a deaf English bull terrier, Daphne; a rescued cattle dog, Sydney; and two adopted cats, Kip and Shirley.
